Crackdown on SSC Exam Cheating Ring in Dehradun
Authorities have arrested two members of a gang involved in cheating during the SSC MTS exam in Dehradun. The suspects facilitated cheating by hacking computers at an examination center. Police recovered tech equipment and are investigating further connections in the case.

A joint sting operation by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) Meerut unit and the Uttarakhand STF resulted in the arrest of two pivotal members of a cheating syndicate in Dehradun. The syndicate was targeting the MTS competitive examination organized by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).
Brijesh Kumar Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police for the Meerut unit of the UP STF, disclosed that the arrested individuals are identified as Nitish Kumar from Deoria district, Uttar Pradesh, and Bhaskar Naithani from Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The arrests were executed following a carefully orchestrated operation in the Kotwali region.
According to preliminary findings, the gang was found to be aiding cheaters through advanced computer hacking methods at the Mahadev Digital Zone examination center. This included creating unauthorized access for candidates via local networking hacks and proxy servers, facilitated by an Eduquity company. The police seized multiple mobile phones, laptops, and an internet router from the accused. The inquiry into potential accomplices continues.
