The ongoing investigation into the Sabarimala gold loss case is approaching its conclusion, according to Kerala state police chief Ravada Chandrasekhar. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is currently finalizing their findings in what has been a closely watched probe, under the High Court's supervision.

The investigation centers on the alleged misappropriation of gold from the Dwarapalaka idols and Sreekovil door frames at the Lord Ayyappa temple, following the replating of the claddings. The High Court's close supervision is ensuring that the investigation proceeds with due diligence.

To date, the SIT has arrested 12 individuals, including the main accused Unnikrishnan Potty and two former presidents of the Travancore Devaswom Board. The high-profile nature of these arrests underscores the significance and complexity of the case.
