In a significant breakthrough, the Himachal Pradesh Police have caught Vijender Singh, a principal figure in a drug supply operation, redistributing adulterated heroin known as chitta. Authorities confirmed that Singh sourced the drug from Punjab, leveraging conduits to distribute it across Rohru and Chirgaon.
The police action stemmed from the arrest of Jashandeep Singh and Dharampreet Singh who were caught with 83 grams of chitta. Their arrests provided crucial leads, sparking a broader investigation that unearthed the wider network involving several other local drug peddlers.
Vijender's operations came to light through detailed financial scrutiny and digital analysis by the police. After evading initial attempts to capture him by fleeing to Nepal, a strategic operation with Nepal and Uttarakhand Police led to his arrest near the India-Nepal border.
