Tightened Security Measures in Shimla for Himachal Pradesh's Budget Session
With Himachal Pradesh's Budget session set to begin, security in Shimla has been significantly ramped up. SSP Shimla Gaurav Singh reported the deployment of 872 police personnel. Specialized units, including Quick Reaction Teams and 75 trained commandos, will be stationed strategically to ensure safety and law enforcement.

In anticipation of the Budget session in Himachal Pradesh, authorities have implemented stringent security measures in Shimla to uphold public safety. Senior Superintendent of Police Shimla, Gaurav Singh, disclosed an extensive deployment of 872 police personnel within the state's summer capital.
To reinforce security infrastructure, the deployment includes 15 gazetted officers, 30 non-gazetted officers, and 66 head constables, alongside constabulary and communication staff. Furthermore, nearly 200 Home Guard personnel are on standby to bolster the security framework.
Specialized units such as Quick Reaction Teams and the Special Security Unit, along with 75 trained commandos, are positioned at critical locations. Surveillance enhancements include activated cameras, and the potential use of photography, videography, and drones. The SSP urged public cooperation during security checks and vigilance against rumors.
