French Police Raid Arab World Institute Amidst Jack Lang Investigation
French police conducted a search at the Arab World Institute in Paris as part of an investigation involving its former head, ex-culture minister Jack Lang, linked with Jeffrey Epstein. The inquiry centers on alleged tax fraud against Lang and his daughter, following revelations from the U.S. Department of Justice.
On Monday, French police searched the premises of the Arab World Institute in Paris, investigating allegations concerning its former director, Jack Lang, who is also a former culture minister. This action follows revelations of Lang's ties with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The investigation, which also targets Lang's daughter Caroline, focuses on alleged tax fraud, triggered by documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice. The Arab World Institute has not yet issued a statement regarding the ongoing probe.
The National Financial Prosecutor's Office confirmed the raids across several locations, stating this forms part of a broader inquiry. Lang, who resigned from the Institute earlier this month, disputes the accusations, maintaining his innocence regarding the allegations from his correspondence with Epstein between 2012 and 2019.
