The Uttarakhand Police initiated a comprehensive search and rescue operation after the Nainital District Court received a bomb threat via email. The email threatened a blast at 12:15 pm on Monday, prompting a swift response from security forces, including the police, bomb squad, and dog squad.
Authorities quickly evacuated the court premises in Nainital, Haldwani, and Ramnagar, conducting thorough searches while maintaining public safety. So far, no suspicious items have been discovered, but operations will persist to ensure the courts' security.
Nainital SSP Manjunath TC confirmed ongoing investigations to trace the email's origin. Despite the alarming nature of the threat, he reassured the public and announced that those responsible will face stringent action once identified..
