Odisha Urges Immediate Action for Stranded Workers in Thailand

Delhi-based Principal Resident Commissioner Vishal Gagan highlighted the workers' plight in a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), stressing the need for immediate diplomatic intervention. The workers had traveled to Thailand via an agent from Uttar Pradesh, seeking employment and better livelihoods.

Expressing concern, Odisha's BJD president and Leader of Opposition, Naveen Patnaik, called on the MEA and the state's Chief Minister to expedite efforts for the workers' rescue. The situation demands urgent coordination with Thai officials to ensure the workers' safe return to Odisha.
