Six spa and massage centres in Jammu faced closure following a crackdown on regulatory violations, as reported by officials on Sunday. This decisive action was part of a comprehensive inspection drive initiated by District Magistrate Jammu, Rakesh Minhas.

Under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioners Ansuya Jamwal and Vidhu Shekhar, inspection teams discovered various violations among the establishments. These infractions included lack of mandatory undertaking, failure to display required boards, improper security measures, and unauthorized payment methods.

As a result, notices were given to the centres, with further legal action to be pursued under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. District Magistrate Minhas emphasized zero tolerance for misuse of commercial premises for unlawful purposes, warning all spa operators in the district to adhere strictly to regulations or face stringent consequences.
