A resident of Budgam district in Jammu and Kashmir, Suhail Ahmad Bhat, has been booked for allegedly circulating provocative videos on social media, the police reported on Sunday. An FIR was lodged against Bhat for sharing unverified videos on Instagram in the Chadoora area.
According to a police spokesperson, Bhat, who resides in Kuthipora Chadoora, uploaded videos titled ''Master Electrician'' which pertained to a recent Middle East protest. These videos seemingly aimed to provoke the youth and general public, thereby posing a potential threat to public order.
The police expressed concerns that such content could create unnecessary panic and disturb communal harmony. An FIR has been registered at Police Station Chadoora, and investigations are underway. Meanwhile, authorities have urged citizens to refrain from sharing similar content and to assist in maintaining peace and harmony.
