Rising Tensions in Gaza: Deadly Airstrike Claims Lives Amid Fragile Ceasefire
An Israeli air strike in Gaza City resulted in the deaths of three Palestinians, including a paramedic, despite an existing ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. Tensions remain high, with ongoing violence defying the ceasefire, as both sides accuse each other of violations.
In Gaza City, an Israeli air strike has claimed the lives of three Palestinians, marking the deadliest incident since Israel and the United States escalated their campaign against Iran last week. The strike occurred near densely populated areas, injuring several others, according to local medics.
Among the dead was paramedic Mohammad Hamduna, along with Mohammad Abu Shedeq and Ahmed Lafi. Despite a ceasefire agreement brokered by the U.S., violence continues with both sides accusing each other of violating the truce. The Israeli military claims that two Hamas members preparing attacks were killed, but no evidence was provided.
Since October, the Gaza health ministry reports 640 Palestinian deaths by Israeli actions, while Israel reports the loss of four soldiers. Gaza remains ravaged from two years of conflict, ignited by the October 2023 Hamas attack on Israel, leading to heavy casualties and substantial destruction.
