In a recent session of the Jharkhand assembly, tensions rose over the issue of numerous vacant government positions. Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Radha Krishna Kishore, responding to inquiries, revealed that 30,000 positions had been filled under Chief Minister Hemant Soren's leadership.

The persistent vacancies, some lasting over two decades, remain a concern. BJP MLA Satyendra Nath Tiwari highlighted the staggering 73,000 unfilled posts. Kishore explained the ongoing recruitment efforts by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, emphasizing financial constraints.

Beyond vacancies, public discourse was fueled by a viral video showing Savita Singh, a woman circle officer, allegedly assaulting a young man, prompting demands for disciplinary action. Additionally, apprehensions were raised about the surge in illegal poppy cultivation, with the government pursuing aggressive eradication, although official complicity is yet to be proven.
