A 28-year-old man, accused of impersonating an Indian Foreign Service officer, was apprehended in Kushinagar district, authorities reported on Monday.
The Kushinagar Superintendent of Police acted swiftly upon receiving information about the alleged impersonation, leading to the arrest of Pawan Chauhan from the Hata area on March 8.
Numerous incriminating items were seized, including fake identity documents and tools for forgery. Chauhan faces charges after admitting to deceiving individuals with false promises of government jobs and promotions.
