In a startling revelation, Maharashtra police have arrested nine individuals involved in a fraudulent scheme aimed at securing an insurance claim of Rs 50 lakh. Among those apprehended are a government medical officer and four police personnel.
The conspiracy came to light when it was discovered that Rajendra Jadhav, whose death was claimed to be the result of a road accident in 2025, had actually died from liver disease in February 2024.
The allegations against the accused include forging documents to concoct a fake accident narrative. The investigation revealed discrepancies during the insurance company's preliminary check, leading to the exposure of the plot.
