In a tragic incident in Bichoon village, a man is alleged to have killed his wife and young daughter, with financial stress suspected as a possible motive. Early on Thursday morning, the accused, identified as Sukhjeet, surrendered to police following the brutal murders.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dudu, Deepak Khandelwal, confirmed that Sukhjeet attacked his wife, Saroj Devi, with a sword, before strangling his eight-year-old daughter, Vanshika. Both victims died on the spot.
The bodies were sent to the Dudu sub-district hospital for postmortem, and forensic experts are investigating the scene for more evidence. Authorities suggest financial hardship as a potential catalyst for the tragic event, as Sukhjeet was known to be a daily wager supporting his family.
