Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has called for a comprehensive investigation into the tragic Baramati air crash that resulted in the death of Maharashtra's former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and four others.
Following a meeting with Rohit Pawar, the grandson of veteran NCP-SP leader Sharad Pawar, Gandhi highlighted the pressing concerns over the probe's transparency. Rohit, also an MLA in Maharashtra and a nephew to the late Ajit Pawar, handed Gandhi a letter outlining issues with the investigation.
In a statement on social media, Gandhi emphasized the apparent neglect of fundamental legal procedures and the absence of an FIR despite the gravity of the incident. As the demand for a fair and unbiased probe intensifies, questions surrounding the accident at Baramati airport continue to emerge.
