Tragedy in Godda: Witchcraft Suspicion Leads to Triple Homicide

A tribal couple and their minor son were allegedly hacked to death by their relatives in Jharkhand's Godda district, with suspicions of witchcraft being a possible motive, authorities reported on Tuesday.
The gruesome incident unfolded late Monday in Danga Tola under Deodanr police station. Police discovered the bodies on Tuesday, confirming the identities of the victims as Darbari Murmu, 55, his wife Maki Baski, 50, and their 12-year-old son.
Godda Sub-Divisional Police Officer Ashok Ravidas stated that three suspects, namely Santlal Murmu, Hemlal Murmu, and Talababu Murmu, have been apprehended. The murder weapon has been retrieved, and authorities are delving deeper into the investigation.
