In a major overhaul of its delivery network, India Post has launched three premium, time-bound logistics services—24 Speed Post, 48 Speed Post and 24 Speed Post Parcel—aimed at capturing a larger share of India’s rapidly expanding express delivery and e-commerce market.
The services were unveiled by Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, marking what officials described as a “transformational moment” for the 170-year-old postal system.

Calling the launch a “red and yellow letter day,” Scindia said the Department of Posts is repositioning itself as a modern, technology-driven logistics provider.
“An age-old institution has reinvented itself… entering this journey with clarity, confidence and purpose,” he said.
The move aligns with the government’s broader vision to modernise India’s logistics ecosystem and support economic growth under the Amrit Kaal to Shatabdi Kaal roadmap.
Next-Day Delivery Across Six Major Metros
At the core of the launch is the 24 Speed Post and 24 Speed Post Parcel service, offering guaranteed next-day (D+1) delivery between six major cities:
