In Banswara district's Hindolia Charan village, Rajasthan, a land demarcation initiative for a dumping yard erupted into violence Tuesday. Officials report that local residents allegedly pelted stones at the arriving police and municipality teams.

Four police personnel, including an assistant sub-inspector, and four municipal workers sustained injuries during the clash. The teams faced the attack just after commencing their work of measuring a two-acre area designated for waste disposal.

As many as 200-250 villagers reportedly participated in the assault, launching stones from nearby hills, damaging government vehicles, and shattering windows. Authorities have filed a case and are working to identify perpetrators. Heavy police deployment has stabilized the situation, according to officials.
