Efforts to change the capital in the future will now be thwarted, effectively quashing ideas for multiple capitals. As Congress's Manickam Tagore highlighted, the decision opens avenues for Amaravati to develop alongside other major cities like Bangalore and Hyderabad. Still, concerns about special status for Andhra Pradesh linger.

However, the YSR Congress Party opposed the bill, citing unaddressed issues regarding farmer compensation in Amaravati. The party emphasized a need for concrete timelines for distributing developed plots and education promises to affected families, urging the incorporation of these details into the legislation.
