Dramatic End to Notorious Sharpshooter's Reign in Uttar Pradesh

In a dramatic police encounter, a notorious sharpshooter, known as Ashu alias Monty, met his end in Uttar Pradesh. With a bounty of Rs 50,000, Ashu was fatally injured following a firefight with the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force and Moradabad police.

The confrontation occurred near a marriage hall under construction on the Thakurdwara bypass in the Civil Lines area. Officials confirmed that the action was taken on a tip-off regarding Ashu's presence at the site, where he planned a significant crime with associates. Despite his efforts to fend off the STF with indiscriminate firing, retaliatory measures led to his injuries and subsequent death.

Ashu's criminal history spanned over 36 cases, involving grave charges like murder and robbery. Police confiscated a pistol, revolver, and a substantial cache of ammunition during the operation. Initially jailed in 2010, Ashu's criminal path was further shaped by his association with the Udham Singh gang. Investigations continue to unravel more details of his activities and connections.
