Controversy Over Land Ownership Between Shinde Family and Bollywood Stars

A farmer from Pune has sued Bollywood actor Sonali Bendre and her husband Goldie Behl, accusing them of illegally taking possession of their land using intimidation tactics. The lawsuit claims that the couple, leveraging their social influence, have attempted to seize over 32,000 square feet of land in Uksan village, while Bendre denies allegations, labeling them as extortion attempts.

A legal battle ensues as a Pune farmer accuses Bollywood star Sonali Bendre and her husband, filmmaker Goldie Behl, of land encroachment and intimidation tactics. The lawsuit, filed by Chandrakant Balu Shinde and his mother Kamalbai, alleges that the celebrity couple used their influence to seize a significant portion of land in Uksan village.

The Shinde family, claiming to be protected tenants since the 1940s, argues that their tenancy rights were unlawfully terminated. They contend their names were removed from records without notice, leading to a contentious sale of the property to Behl in 2021.

The lawsuit further alleges intimidation and bias, with reports of attempts to commence unauthorized construction and threats against the Shinde family. Bendre refutes involvement, calling the lawsuit a baseless extortion attempt, and maintains her name is absent from relevant purchase documents.
