The authorities in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh have apprehended 15 suspects accused of spreading terror and plotting extortion under the guise of the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, the police confirmed on Friday.
The investigation commenced after an alarming incident on March 16, when three assailants on motorcycles opened fire at industrialist Dilip Rathore's residence in Bhilgaon. The following day, a WhatsApp call followed, demanding Rs 10 crore, attributed to Bishnoi's gang. The suspects even circulated a video showcasing the attack scene as leverage.
The capture of these individuals revealed the masterminds as Lokendra Panwar and Sachin Patidar, both involved in a financial quarrel with Rathore.
