A group of Indian fishermen who were stranded in Iran are set to return to their homeland via Armenia this Saturday, according to official sources. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed gratitude to Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan for aiding in the fishermen's return.

Over recent weeks, more than 1,150 Indian nationals have exited Iran through land borders in Armenia and Azerbaijan triggered by the ongoing West Asia conflict, the government confirmed. Details about the stranded fishermen and why they were stuck in Iran were not immediately clear.

Abu Dhabi witnessed five Indians injured among 12 individuals due to debris from an intercepted missile. Four have been discharged, while one remains treated as the Indian mission offers extensive support.
