In a shocking incident in Matiana, two tourists from Uttar Pradesh were arrested following an alleged assault stemming from a road rage incident, police reported on Saturday.

The accused, identified as Ujjwal Jain and Sohil Arora, both aged 36, reportedly assaulted a local after a dispute over overtaking on National Highway-5. The situation intensified as a crowd gathered and the accused resorted to threatening them with what appeared to be a pistol, later determined to be a Chinese lighter.

Authorities quickly responded, apprehending the suspects at Premghat Chowk in Theog. An investigation is currently underway, according to SSP Shimla Gaurav Singh.
