Daring Rescue: Cows Saved from Illegal Transport

A major operation to rescue seven cows was successfully conducted by the police in the Tanda area of Punjab. Acting on intelligence provided by Shiv Sena Punjab youth president Mohit Kumar, authorities intercepted a truck at a checkpoint, unveiling an illicit cattle transport operation.

Officials arrested Davinder Singh of Ludhiana, who was allegedly transporting the cows to a slaughterhouse under inhumane conditions. The animals were discovered crammed inside the truck, showcasing a clear violation of the law.

The accused faces multiple charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Punjab Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Act, 1955, and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. A thorough investigation is ongoing, according to police reports.
