Punjab Police Dismantles Pakistan-Backed Terror Module

The Punjab Police announced the arrest of a suspect linked to a Pakistan-backed terror module. Seizing four grenades and foreign firearms, authorities believe the accused has connections to a recent Chandigarh attack. An FIR has been filed as investigative efforts continue to uncover additional module members.

The Punjab Police have effectively dismantled a terror module with alleged ties to Pakistan's ISI, arresting a suspect in the process. In a decisive operation in Amritsar and Mohali, the police recovered four hand grenades, two pistols, and ammunition, according to Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav.

Yadav revealed that the accused was reportedly acting on the directives of foreign handlers, pointing to a complex network with connections to the recent grenade attack in Chandigarh. This bust signifies the first significant breakthrough in piecing together the events leading up to this attack.

An FIR has been lodged at the Police Station State Special Operation Cell in Amritsar. Furthermore, police forces are intensifying their investigation to pinpoint, pursue, and detain the remaining operatives allegedly involved in the terror plot.
