An elderly man, Chhagan Davde, aged 65, was found dead in his residence in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The deceased's body, discovered with rat bite marks, raised concerns among local authorities.
According to information from Tilak Karole, in-charge of the Chandan Nagar police station, Davde likely passed away days prior to his body being found. Leading a solitary life after his wife's death six months earlier, Davde's body was stumbled upon after children playing nearby hit a ball into his compound.
Authorities await a post-mortem report, while they plan to take statements from Davde's family and neighbors. CCTV footage surrounding his home will also be scrutinized to shed light on the incident, paving the way for potential legal action.
