Tension Rises: Czech Republic Summons Russian Ambassador Over Threats Against Companies
The Czech foreign ministry has summoned the Russian ambassador following threats against Czech companies, highlighted in a Russian defense ministry report and comments by Dmitry Medvedev regarded as potential targets for Russian attacks due to involvement with drone supplies to Ukraine.
The Czech foreign ministry has taken a firm stance by summoning the Russian ambassador amid rising tensions. The ministry’s decision came in response to a Russian defense ministry report and comments by Dmitry Medvedev, former Russian President, that named Czech companies as possible targets for Russian attacks.
According to the defense ministry, plans by some European countries, including Czech Republic, to increase drone supplies to Ukraine have heightened risks of these countries being drawn further into conflict with Russia. The ministry published a list identifying European factories involved in drone production as potential targets.
Dmitry Medvedev further intensified concerns by stating that the listed entities could indeed become targets of Russian military strikes. His alarming remarks suggested that future actions depend on upcoming developments, leaving a chilling warning for European nations involved in drone supplies.
