A collaborative effort between the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and the Mumbai Police Crime Branch resulted in the capture of wanted criminal, Pradeep Kumar, who is suspected of participating in the attack at filmmaker Rohit Shetty's home in Mumbai.
The incident occurred on February 1, 2026, in the Juhu area of Mumbai, where firing was carried out by the Shubham Lonkar gang to extort money and intimidate the film industry. The arrest involved technical analysis and intelligence sharing between the two law enforcement bodies.
Supervised by Rakesh, Additional Superintendent of Police, STF Field Unit, Agra, the operation marks the latest in a series of arrests in this high-stakes case, further connecting Kumar with the organized crime world under the radar of Maharashtra’s stringent laws.
