In a significant legal development, a Delhi court has called for the framing of charges against the directors of Three C Shelters Pvt Ltd. This decision arises from issues surrounding the postponed Greenopolis housing project in Gurugram, where allegations of cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy have emerged against the directors.
The case was propelled by a complaint from homebuyers unhappy with the company's alleged failure to disclose the presence of high-tension power lines and a chemical effluent drain at the project site. Despite these features being visible on approved layouts, they were reportedly omitted in promotional material.
The court's ruling, based on a 2017 FIR by the Economic Offences Wing, highlighted misrepresentations that influenced buyers to invest without necessary approvals. Though the court found prima facie evidence of financial misconduct, a full siphoning of funds remains under scrutiny. Charges are set to be framed on May 2.
