The Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment initiated a pivotal three-day national 'Chintan Shivir', drawing participation from states and Union territories to enhance India's social justice framework. The event was inaugurated by Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, alongside Union Minister Virendra Kumar.
Held under the banner 'Antyodaya ka Sankalp, Amrit Kaal ka Pratibimb -- Viksit Bharat@2047', the Shivir emphasized the importance of last-mile implementation, leveraging technology for governance, and empowering marginalized communities. In his address, Minister Kumar stressed that the gathering is a strategic platform for collaborative ideas aimed at national progress.
The minister articulated the need for dignity, accessibility, and continuity in policy deliberations, ensuring empowerment that transcends welfare. Governor Kataria underscored the significance of uniting Centre and state efforts for welfare scheme execution, urging active community participation to benefit eligible individuals without bias or delay.
