Temple Tragedy: Security Guard Killed in Shocking Robbery

In a tragic incident at the Jagannath Temple in Ranchi's Dhurwa Smart City area, a 60-year-old security guard lost his life during a robbery attempt, as confirmed by police officials on Saturday.
The incident unfolded late Thursday night when the guard was bludgeoned to death with a stone by three robbers. The suspects, who were apprehended the following day, confessed to the crime, citing their fear of identification as the motive behind the heinous act.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ranjan revealed that the accused took cash from the temple's donation box, totaling Rs 3 lakh, before fleeing. Law enforcement recovered the stolen money, a stone with blood stains, and the tool used to break open the donation box. All accused are now in judicial custody.
