In a troubling turn of events, Sunaina Karuturi has approached the Bombay High Court after three civic bodies declined to issue a death certificate for her husband, citing jurisdictional limitations.
Srinivas Karuturi, her husband, is believed to have taken his life by jumping off the iconic Atal Setu bridge, the country's longest sea bridge connecting Mumbai to Navi Mumbai. His abandoned vehicle and CCTV evidence corroborated the tragic incident.
Sunaina's desperation is compounded by severe financial strain, as the absence of a death certificate denies her access to essential benefits, stripping her of financial independence. The High Court is set to hear her plea amidst her claims of arbitrary negligence.
