Bihar's government has set an ambitious goal to create one crore jobs by 2030, outlined under the 'Saat Nishchay'-3 initiative. Announced by JD(U) leader Nishant Kumar, this plan follows earlier promises and reaffirms the state's commitment to industrial growth and employment.
The government initially promised 10 lakh jobs under the 'Saat Nishchay'-2 framework, a target later doubled to 20 lakh in 2022. This commitment expands as the state targets a significant upward leap with the 'Saat Nishchay'-3 initiative, focusing on infrastructure and industrial development.
Free land grants for industries and the development of industrial areas in every district are underway. Nishant Kumar emphasized the government's ongoing work under former CM Nitish Kumar's guidance, aiming to secure one crore job opportunities by the target year.
