In response to the strategic importance of border areas, the Deputy Inspector General of Police for the Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shridhar Patil, has emphasized the necessity for stringent vigilance and heightened alertness along the International Border in Kathua district.
During a comprehensive security and crime review meeting with supervisory officers, he highlighted the need for strict vigilance to thwart the plans of anti-national elements. He directed officers to ensure rigorous checking, enhance patrolling, and coordinate seamlessly with other security agencies to maintain a strong security grid.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Kathua, Mohita Sharma, provided insights into district police operations, crime scenarios, and pending investigations. Efforts to curb organized crime and ongoing anti-drug campaigns were also discussed, with a focus on robust legal action against offenders.
