Vigilance Heightens in Kathua Amid Border Sensitivities

In Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, Deputy Inspector General of Police Shridhar Patil has called for strict vigilance along the International Border. In a security meeting, officers were instructed to coordinate efforts to combat anti-national threats, review crime, and curb organized crime syndicates, enhancing public safety and justice delivery.

In response to the strategic importance of border areas, the Deputy Inspector General of Police for the Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shridhar Patil, has emphasized the necessity for stringent vigilance and heightened alertness along the International Border in Kathua district.

During a comprehensive security and crime review meeting with supervisory officers, he highlighted the need for strict vigilance to thwart the plans of anti-national elements. He directed officers to ensure rigorous checking, enhance patrolling, and coordinate seamlessly with other security agencies to maintain a strong security grid.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Kathua, Mohita Sharma, provided insights into district police operations, crime scenarios, and pending investigations. Efforts to curb organized crime and ongoing anti-drug campaigns were also discussed, with a focus on robust legal action against offenders.
