Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praises state police transformation since 2017. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded the transformative journey of the state's police force, from a period of crisis before 2017 to becoming one of India's best forces. Addressing the new batch of police constables at the Reserve Police Lines, he highlighted the eradication of mafia rule and the decline in riots in the state.

Adityanath underscored the police's improved morale and the installation of significant women personnel within the force. He commended the new recruits and emphasized the importance of strict laws for criminals and sensitivity towards citizens, noting recent recruitment milestones and infrastructure enhancements in law enforcement.

The event, which included the distribution of awards and commendation certificates, marked a milestone with the unique direct recruitment of 60,244 constables, including over 12,000 women, signaling a significant push towards women empowerment in the police service.
