Coimbatore Dacoity: Six Arrested in Daring College Student Heist
Six people were apprehended in Coimbatore in connection with a dacoity case. They allegedly forced entry into a house with deadly weapons, assaulting and robbing its occupants, all college students. Police seized stolen goods and remanded the accused to custody after a thorough investigation led to their capture.

In a breakthrough in the Coimbatore district, six individuals were arrested in connection with a bold dacoity that targeted college students residing in a house. The suspects allegedly forced entry and threatened the students with deadly weapons.
The incident occurred on the night of April 17 when the accused, aged 20-25, entered the residence of seven students in Pavamana Nagar and violently assaulted them, making off with Rs 10,000, mobile phones, laptops, and a two-wheeler.
Following a detailed investigation, local police retrieved much of the stolen property and, on interrogation, the perpetrators confessed. They have been remanded to judicial custody pending further proceedings.
