Three youths killed as car rams into parked tractor-trolley in UP's Gorakhpur

Three men were killed after their car rammed into a stationary tractor-trolley laden with wheat here, police said on Monday. The owner of the car, Pushkar Yadav, said that Ankur had borrowed the vehicle at around 8 pm on Sunday, citing his fathers ill health.

Three men were killed after their car rammed into a stationary tractor-trolley laden with wheat here, police said on Monday. According to the police, the incident occurred late on Sunday night in Kohri Bujurg village in the Gola police station area. A car travelling from Barhalganj towards Gola rammed into a tractor-trolley loaded with wheat, and parked along the roadside. The impact of the collision was so severe that the front section of the car got wedged into the trolley, trapping the occupants inside. Police said that despite the airbags deploying, the vehicle's frame collapsed onto the occupants. On hearing the crash, the local alerted the police. Subsequently, the victims were removed from the wreckage using machinery. However, by that time, the car's driver, Kunal Yadav (20), and the passenger seated beside him, Aman alias Ajay Yadav (21), had succumbed to their injuries, police said. Ankur alias Prasoon Yadav (22), who was seated on the back seat, died while being transported to AIIMS in Gorakhpur. According to family members, Kunal was a student of class 12th and the eldest of two brothers, while Aman and Ankur hailed from farming families. The owner of the car, Pushkar Yadav, said that Ankur had borrowed the vehicle at around 8 pm on Sunday, citing his father's ill health. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination, police said. SHO of Station House Officer (SHO) Rakesh Kumar Roshan stated that no written complaint has been received so far. Both vehicles have been impounded, and further investigations are underway.
