Suspected drug peddler's house attached in Srinagar

Police on Tuesday attached a house worth Rs 1.5 crore belonging to an alleged drug peddler in the citys Saida Kadal area. Police Station Rainawari, acting under the provisions of the NDPS Act, attached the house along with land measuring 11 marlas one marla 272.25 sq ft belonging to accused Bilal Ahmad Patoo at Saida kadal, Srinagar.

Police on Tuesday attached a house worth Rs 1.5 crore belonging to an alleged drug peddler in the city's Saida Kadal area. ''Continuing its intensified crackdown against drug trafficking under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Srinagar Police has attached immovable property worth approximately Rs 1.5 crore belonging to a notorious drug peddler,'' Srinagar police posted on its X handle. Police Station Rainawari, acting under the provisions of the NDPS Act, attached the house along with land measuring 11 marlas (one marla =272.25 sq ft) belonging to accused Bilal Ahmad Patoo at Saida kadal, Srinagar. ''The said property has been identified as an illegally acquired asset generated through proceeds of drug trafficking,'' the police said.
