Woman killed over ‘dowry demand' in Jharkhand’s Koderma
A 25-year-old woman was killed allegedly over demand for dowry in Jharkhands Koderma district on Wednesday, police said. It has been sent for post-mortem examination to Sadar Hospital, Koderma, said Vikash Kumar, the officer in-charge of Jainagar police station. The accused and his family members are absconding after the incident, the officer said.

A 25-year-old woman was killed allegedly over demand for dowry in Jharkhand's Koderma district on Wednesday, police said. The incident took place at Nandodih village in Jainagar police station area. The deceased has been identified as Archana Kumari. ''The woman's body was recovered from her house on Wednesday, and it bore injury marks on the neck. It has been sent for post-mortem examination to Sadar Hospital, Koderma,'' said Vikash Kumar, the officer in-charge of Jainagar police station. The police have lodged a case against her husband and his family based on the statement of the victim's father, Kumar said. The accused and his family members are absconding after the incident, the officer said. A search is underway to trace them, he added.
