Nexperia and Wingtech: Navigating Financial Turbulences and Disputes
Nexperia BV, a Dutch computer chip manufacturer, is in a financial and managerial dispute with its Chinese parent company, Wingtech. Wingtech reported a significant loss due to the devaluation of Nexperia, leading to concerns over financial reports' accuracy. Talks for resolution remain uninitiated.
In a statement released Thursday, Dutch computer chip manufacturer Nexperia BV clarified it has no intention of undermining its Chinese parent company, Wingtech. This comes after Wingtech's 2025 financial statements highlighted a net loss of 8.7 billion yuan, following an accounting loss on Nexperia.
Auditors have raised concerns over access to Nexperia’s financial data, as Nexperia constitutes a significant portion of Wingtech’s assets. The situation intensified after a Dutch court removed Wingtech's founder Zhang Xuezheng as Nexperia's CEO due to mismanagement worries.
Nexperia continues to operate independently, asserting its efforts to support Wingtech. However, they noted that Wingtech has yet to agree to dialogue aimed at resolving the dispute, signaling ongoing tension between the entities involved.
