Delving into history, Mahana highlighted the respected status of women in ancient India, noting their active participation in assemblies. He lamented the erosion of this status during foreign rule but expressed optimism about India's democratic progress, which he believes can revive women's mainstream involvement.

Mahana detailed initiatives under his leadership to advance women's roles in the legislative process, including dedicating an entire day for female members' participation, a proposal supported by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
