Emphasizing a significant shift in governance philosophy, Union Minister Jitendra Singh remarked on the transition from traditional government to a governance model characterized by transparency and accountability. Speaking at the 51st Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration's convocation at the Indian Institute of Public Administration, Singh highlighted an era of 'minimum government, maximum governance.'
The minister noted the increasing role of technology in public administration and rising citizen expectations, urging a mindset shift among officers to address dynamic challenges. He emphasized that structural reforms alone are inadequate without a resolute change in approach among public servants.
Singh praised the APPPA program for enhancing senior officers' skills, aligning with Mission Karmayogi's aim for future-ready governance. He advocated for evolving training methods, including interactive techniques and anonymous feedback, to better suit officers' needs and expectations.
