Maoist Splinter Group Members Arrested in Jharkhand
Two members of the banned Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee were arrested in Jharkhand's Ranchi district. They were apprehended for extorting money from local businessmen and found with arms and ammunition. Both admitted to the crime and have been sent to judicial custody after an FIR was lodged against them.

In a significant development, two members of the outlawed Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee, a faction of the banned CPI (Maoist), were arrested by police in Jharkhand's Ranchi district, officials announced on Friday.
The arrest took place near Irba Golchakkar within the Ormanjhi Police Station limits on Thursday after a businessman reported demands for Rs 10 lakh.
Authorities confirmed the recovery of arms and crucial evidence, including a country-made pistol and mobile devices, and the duo now face judicial custody as investigations continue.
