CYMA's Bold Stance: Massive Drug Seizure Incinerated in Mizoram
The Central Anti-Drug Squad of CYMA incinerated narcotics worth Rs 1.74 crore in Aizawl. Seized between January 20 and May 1, the drugs were destroyed in the presence of Mizoram's Home Minister, highlighting the state's intensified 'Operation Jericho' campaign against drug trafficking. Significant seizures continue in key inflow areas.

The Central Young Mizo Association's Central Anti-Drug Squad made a bold move by incinerating seized narcotics valued at over Rs 1.74 crore. The ceremony, attended by Mizoram Home Minister K Sapdanga, highlighted the state's efforts to combat drug trafficking under 'Operation Jericho'.
Sapdanga commended the efforts of local YMA units, particularly in Champhai, a crucial drug inflow corridor. The vigilance of these units has significantly reduced the inflow of contraband. This event underscores the state government's ongoing commitment to tackle drug trafficking and abuse.
According to CYMA general secretary Malsawmliana, destroyed narcotics included heroin, cannabis, codeine syrup, Alprazolam, and other illegal substances. Numerous individuals involved in drug-related activities were apprehended, showcasing a community's unified stand against the drug menace.
