Amid tensions surrounding the May 4 vote counting process, Tamil Nadu's ruling DMK has sounded an alert regarding potential disruptions allegedly orchestrated by the BJP. The claims highlight concerns over possible disturbances at counting centers and sensitive locations, including party offices.

Writing to the Chief Electoral Officer, DMK Organisation Secretary RS Bharathi insisted there's credible information about plans to disrupt counting activities, raising fears of large-scale law and order issues. The DMK is calling for preventive measures to maintain peace, public order, and election integrity across Tamil Nadu.

In response, Tamil Nadu BJP leader Narayanan Thirupathy rejected the allegations, asserting that the DMK is preparing excuses for an anticipated defeat. The BJP claims if the DMK avoids violence, the vote counting will proceed without incident. Tamil Nadu elections were held on April 23, with the counting set for May 4.
