A young man posing as a village development officer was publicly humiliated in Bundi district after being exposed for allegedly scamming women by promising benefits from government schemes and collecting money for the formalities.
The incident in Kabri village went viral when footage emerged on social media, showing the youth apologizing and licking the sole of a shoe as punishment. He had collected between Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 from unsuspecting women before the scam was uncovered by suspicious villagers.
The man, identified as Manraj Prajapat, confessed to the fraudulent activity when confronted and returned the money. Despite the severity of the deception, no police complaint was filed. Authorities are investigating other potential frauds linked to Prajapat.
