Corruption Clampdown: PWD Engineer Arrested in Rajasthan

The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) took swift action on Monday, apprehending a PWD engineer in Alwar on charges of bribery, officials revealed.
The engineer, Krishna Avatar Gupta, reportedly solicited a Rs 40,000 bribe to issue an essential no-objection certificate (NOC) for setting up an HPCL petrol pump at Barkheda village, Laxmangarh Road.
A sting operation was conducted after a complainant came forward, leading to Gupta's arrest while accepting Rs 25,000. Investigations continue under the Prevention of Corruption Act, officials stated.
