A tragic accident claimed four lives in Himachal Pradesh's Sirmour district on Monday, officials reported. The victims, among them a mother and her daughter, perished when their car fell into a 400-foot-deep gorge near Piyulilani village.
The incident occurred on the Sangrah-Gattadhar road as the vehicle, carrying five occupants, veered off course. The driver lost control, leading to the devastating plunge. Locals sprang into action, assisting in relief and rescue operations.
The deceased have been identified as Amra Devi, a teacher, her daughter Aradhya, Priyanka, and Sajjan Singh. Ajit Kumar, the lone survivor, is receiving treatment. Authorities, including Sangrah SDM Sunil Kayath, continue to investigate the tragedy's cause.
