In a significant move against narcotics smuggling, local police have successfully intercepted a large consignment of brown sugar in Tuibong.
During a raid based on a tip-off, officers discovered 994 grams of the drug meticulously hidden within 82 soap cases. A woman, identified as Hatneithem Haokip, has been apprehended, according to officials.
This operation follows another recent seizure where police intercepted 27 soap cases of brown sugar from two suspects in a vehicle. Authorities continue their investigation into these incidents, aiming to dismantle the smuggling network.
